Harrel offers a complete line of automated equipment for the display of the thickness of the sheet and the close control of that thickness for precision sheet lines. This includes both complete turnkey sheet lines and upgrades for existing sheet lines. In both cases full SQC capabilities are included -- histograms, control charts, x-bar and sigma summaries, etc.

Harrel systems are designed on a building block concept. It is possible to begin with simple display of the thickness of the sheet in the machine direction, such as shown here, and progress up to TOTAL systems control of all aspects of the sheet line, including control of the cross-machine profile, and stabilization to 0.1% of the throughput of the line. It is also possible to combine this with DIGIPANEL control of other parameters of the line -- temperature, pressure, RPM, etc., to achieve TOTAL, automated control of the line.
