The Harrel "BOBCAT" Series of GEARTRUDERS

• A COMBINATION OF A RUGGED AND RELIABLE EXTRUDER, with a precision gear pump, a digital drive, and a CP-643 DIGIPANEL control system for control of the system -- all designed and built by Harrel.
  
  Differs from TIGER series in that it uses the CP-643 DIGIPANEL controller and thus does not have the full color screen and the sophisticated dimensional control capabilities of the TIGER series. It also has a conventional screw instead of the screw with two mixers of the TIGER units.
  
  
• GEAR PUMP GIVES MUCH, MUCH MORE STABLE OUTPUT -- typically 0.1% vs. 5% - 10% for an extruder alone!

• GEAR PUMP GIVES INCREASED OUTPUT. -- typically 15-25% higher throughput with an extruder/gear pump combination than with an extruder used alone!
  
  
• LOWER MELT TEMPERATURES. -- Melt pumps are much more efficient pumps than extruders, so less heat energy is imparted to plastic in generating the pressure to force it through the die!
  
  
• REDUCED ENERGY USAGE. -- Higher efficiency of melt pump means less energy is used.
