LENGTH CONTROLLER
- Initiates control pulses along the length of a product. Usually determined by length, but may be actuated by time.
- Accepts pulse input from an optical or magnetic encoder. May be driven by an idler wheel riding on the product or by a digital tachometer built into take-off, capstan, or puller.
- In the absence of an encoder, the controller can use time as a base and will generate timed output pulses.
- Large 5-digit display shows setpoint. May be in inches or centimeters, for normal use with digital input. Shows unit of time when being used as timer.
- Two-line alphanumeric readout used for parameter entry & display.
- Setpoint and calibration values entered with four large pushbuttons. Values are retained in non-volatile memory. No batteries are required.
- Batch counter counts total pulses put out and compares with preset value. When count reaches preset value, an auxiliary output is energized and counter is reset.
- Handles input pulse frequencies as high as 10 KHz.
