A Photo of a Harrel "LIGHTS-OUT" TUBETROL Tubing Line at
2:30 am.....
We sometimes get a few questions about this photo.....
- Why are all the lights out?
- No use spending all that money for electricity when there
is no one in the plant.
- Where are all the operators?
- Home in bed. Harrel "LIGHTS-OUT" TUBETROL systems are
completely automated. They run themselves!
- What if the plastic or the extrusion conditions change?
- The Harrel TUBETROL system has the tubing dimensions under
close, closed loop control. If conditions change, TUBETROL adjusts
the system to keep the dimensions on target. It's completely
automated. Harrel TUBETROL is the only system which does this.
- What about quality?
- TUBETROL runs the lines automatically whether operators are
there or not. Quality will always be far, far better than a
manually operated system.
- What if something breaks down?
- TUBETROL is continually monitoring the system. If something
breaks down, so the quality cannot be maintained, the system will
be shut down.
"LIGHTS-OUT" TUBETROL is a standard accessory available on any Harrel
tubing line (It may also be retrofitted to any existing Harrel TUBETROL
tubing line). It is simply an extension of the standard TUBETROL
system for unattended operation.
All TUBETROL systems monitor the
dimensions of the tubing and adjust the system to keep the
dimensions on target -- the only system on the market which does so.
The "LIGHTS-OUT" feature adds an additional monitoring function, to
monitor the production and quality continuously and shut the system
down automatically if anything goes wrong.
This means that an
extrusion line can be operated safely even though no operators are
present. In other words, you can operate through the night
without the expense of a night shift!
Harrel TUBETROL systems are the only fully automated systems on the
market!
