The Harrel "TIGER" Series of GEARTRUDERS®
- A COMBINATION OF A RUGGED AND RELIABLE EXTRUDER, with a precision gear pump, a digital drive, precision temperature and process controls, and DIGIPANEL® system for total control of the system -- all designed and built by Harrel!
Differs from BOBCAT series GEARTRUDER® in that it uses the much more sophisticated CP-875 DIGIPANEL® controller with 15" LCD color screen and total control capabilities. Also has spiral Maddock mixer and Saxton mixer on screw.
- MUCH MORE STABLE OUTPUT THAN EXTRUDER ALONE -- typically 0.1% throughput stability vs 5% to 10% for an extruder alone!
- INCREASED OUTPUT -- typically 5-25% higher throughput with an extruder/gear pump combination than with an extruder used alone!
- LOWER MELT TEMPERATURES. Melt pump is much more efficient pump than extruder, so less heat energy is imparted to plastic in generating the pressure to force it through the die!
- REDUCED ENERGY USAGE. Higher efficiency of melt pump means less total energy is used.
- FULLY AUTOMATED, TOTAL CONTROL SYSTEMS. Precise control of extrudate volume plus sophisticated DIGIPANEL control allows automated, total control systems such as TUBETROL, SHEETROL, PROFILETROL, WIRETROL, etc.
