Totally Automated, High Precision Tubing Extrusion
What is Tube-Trol?
Tubing systems from others give you control of the extruder.
Getting the system onto dimensional targets involves a repeated trial
and error process -- making tube, measuring it, readjusting the
extruder, making another sample, measuring it, adjusting the extruder
again, etc.
Not so with Harrel Tube-Trol systems. With
Tube-Trol systems, you key in the outside diameter, inside
diameter and length. The system will automatically bring you on target
in 3-5 minutes and hold you there, hour after hour, without operator
intervention!
Tube-Trol systems have a number of forms:
Standard Tube-Trol
- Set in dimensions of final tube: Outside
diameter, inside diameter, and length.
- System brings on target in 3-5 minutes.
- Holds dimensions hour after hour, without operator intervention.
Multi-Lumen Tube-Trol
- Same direct, automated control of overall dimensions as
with standard tubing.
- Individual air supply for each lumen allows control of
dimensions of each.
Coextrusion Tube-Trol
Recognizes that there is no such thing as a perfect polymer. One must
use multiple layers, each contributing its special characteristics.
- Controls OD, ID, and length of each layer to close
tolerances.
- Totally eliminates interaction between extruders found in
conventional systems.
Bump Tube-Trol
- Changes dimensions of tube along its length.
- Set in OD, ID, and length of bump and OD, ID, and length
of stem.
- Also programs transitions, both bump-to-stem and stem-to-bump.
- Totally automatic control of dimensions.
Double Bump Tube-Trol
- Close, automated control of three
separate sets of dimensions along length of tube.
- Set in OD, ID, and length of all three segments. System
automatically brings all on target!
- Also programs each transition in dimension.
Alternate Polymer Tube-Trol
- Seamlessly changes from 100% polymer "A" to 100% polymer "B" along
the length of the tube!
- May use more than 2 polymers if desired.
- May be combined with bump Tube-Trol or
multilumen Tube-Trol.
Duostrand Tube-Trol
- Two identical tubes, side by side.
- Ideal wherever downstream equipment limits speed of
line -- Simply split into two strands.
- Same close, automated control of OD, ID, and length.
- Only requires one water bath, laser gauge, puller, and
cutter!
- Double the throughput for about 15% increase in cost. That's
good arithmetic!
Tube-Trol Upgrade Systems
- Upgrades existing tubing extrusion lines for bump
tubing Tube-Trol.
- Same automated, close-tolerance control of OD, ID, and length
of both bump and stem, plus programming of transitions, as in Harrel
Tunkey Bump Tube-Trol lines.
